Mochi: Mango Flavour

Lucky nr. 7! On my seventh review I'll continue my mochi tasting saga! Last time I tried Melon Mochi and it was pretty good, now it's time for Mango Mochi.

Packaging: This pack of mango mochi (like the melon one) has 3 mochi balls in a plastic tray, covered in clear plastic with orange tips, a drawing of a little mango and something writtens in japanese (still no japanese skills sorry :c)

Appearance: the mochi is a orangy yellow, covered in flower and shaped like a squichy ball. Like the other one, the inside has a white substance that I still haven't figured out what it is (eating unknown substances...not safe kids) and mango jelly.

Taste: as with the melon ones, the rice paste is flavourless and startchy. The jam doesn't taste like real mango though, it tastes like artificial/candy mango, which makes the flavor sweeter and more intense then the melon one. Still, the ratio of jam and rice paste is off.

Rating: 8,3 out of 10
Overall, pretty similar to the melon one but, since the flavour is a bit more intense, I like this ones a little better. If you prefer mango to    melon, pick this ones up and give them a try.

Store: Tsubaki - Praça Afrânio Peixoto, Nº 13 A. 1000-009 Lisboa.
Price: 2,95 euros (4,95 for a package with 8 mochi balls)
